What is Hospice?
Hospice, which we also refer to as "comfort care," is helping aged or terminally ill pets live their best lives through pain management and symptom control. For pets, this means less stress by minimizing testing and diagnostics, few to no car rides to the veterinary clinic, more focus on feeling better in the comfort of home, and an improved quality of life of which nurtures the human-animal- bond.
In the strictest sense, hospice indicates a diagnosis of less than 6 months to live, but we have found that some "hospice" patients are not terminal, they just need extra support during the end of life. We are here to support your pet medically and to support you and your pet emotionally and psychologically while navigating this journey together.
